Fire Dues are Due January 1, 2021

December 23, 2020

According the by-laws of the Jamesport Fire & Rescue the dues are annual and due on January 1st and delinquent on the 31st of January. The initial membership fee is $50.00 to provide protection for one unit (residence or Home). Each additional unit is $30.00 per unit (Residence or Home) and a separate business shall be an additional $30.00, (whether the business is seasonal or not). For example if you have a property with 2 houses and 1 business, the dues would be as follows: $50.00 for 1st house, $30.00 for Business and $30.00 for the additional house, for a total of $110.00. The fire dues are for properties outside the city limits. Another example would be a property that has 2 houses, a dog kennel and cat kennel, the dues would be $50.00 for the 1st house, $30.00 for the 2nd house, $30.00 for the dog kennel business and $30.00 for the cat kennel business for a total of $140.00. Even if the 2nd house is un-occupied, you would need to pay dues to provide fire protection for that house. If you have any questions, please call Stephanie at 660-684-6524 and leave a message.
A late fee of $5.00 per month will apply for any dues not paid by January 31st.
