David was born on Feb. 7, 1945, to Floyd and Erma Tague in Kendallville, Indiana. He grew up in Gallatin and was a 1963 graduate of Gallatin High School. After working for General Motors for 20 years, David obtained an associate degree in criminal justice from Metropolitan Community College. He later sold real estate for Davidson Real Estate in Cameron for 16 years. David was also a farmer who raised prized club calves.

David was generous, kind, and always giving to those who needed it—even strangers. He loved his family and took in many family friends to raise over the years. He had a jovial sense of humor, was always happy, and was the ultimate optimist.

David enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, and pheasant hunting on his farm at home and in South Dakota and Kansas. He and his wife traveled the western states as well as the southern states and Florida. David and Jeannine enjoyed spending winters in Yuma, AZ, with friends and family and summers at Truman Lake boating and camping with their grandchildren. He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan as well.

David will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
