August 19, 2020

The newest member of The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri Board of Directors is Kyle Stith. A native of Caldwell County, Kyle graduated from Polo High School in 2009 and earned a degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Pharmacy in 2015. Currently, he is a licensed funeral director and co-owns Stith Funeral Home with his wife, Erin. Together they serve the communities of Jamesport, Gallatin, Lathrop, and Polo. They founded Stith Funeral Home in 2015 with the idea that you should know your funeral director and your funeral director should know the community they serve. The Stith’s say, “Hometown, compassionate service is at the heart of what we do.” Stith will represent Caldwell, Clinton, and Daviess Counties on the Community Foundation Board. He replaces Michael Poland of Cameron and the late Phil Tate of Gallatin.
“Kyle will be the perfect fit to represent these communities on our Board because of his community mindedness and his deep roots in the area,” says Steve Maxey, another Board Member and former employee of The Community Foundation.
“I care deeply about these communities and the people that live here. I can’t think of a better way to do my part in making sure these communities continue to thrive and remain great places to live, raise a family and start a business or career”, says Stith. The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri Inc was established in 2009 as a public charity with a 501(c)3 designation from the IRS which allows donor maximum tax advantages while supporting their favorite charities.
“We are a public charity serving the communities of Northwest Missouri. We serve as a vehicle for charitable giving, helping donors give to the causes they care about. Donor gifts will strengthen nonprofits increasing programs and services. Individual and organizations are encouraged to establish a fund with us, “says Foundation President and CEO Mary Richmond Hinde.
In addition to his appointment, Kyle serves on the Polo Education Foundation, is a member of the Lathrop Rotary Club, the Gallatin and Jamesport Lions Clubs, is a member of the Polo Masonic Lodge #232 and he serves on several local cemetery boards.
